From our first meeting in 1966, Bob became a very good friend indeed. He played a big part in my life, first with his very kind wife Edna and then, following Edna's death, with his dear American wife Camille. It truly was a privilege to share in Bob's life on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, and I shall remember him with much fondness and gratitude. It's lovely to support such a great charity in Bob's memory.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are.
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
